KAOHSIUNG, Taiwan — AmCham Kaohsiung is excited to welcome Cindy Wu (吳怡靜) as the new Chair of the International Relations and Public Affairs Committee.

Cindy Wu is a familiar name in Kaohsiung and beyond. Born in Taiwan and raised in the United States, she has spent years building bridges between cultures through music, education, and international projects. Now, she brings that global experience to help AmCham expand its international connections.
Kaohsiung is Wu’s homebase but she’s often on the go: hopping on the HSR to Taipei to discuss investing plans in her position as vice president of global marketing for SPG Holdings, or on a plane to the U.S., where she serves as the official spokesperson for The OG Group, a Miami-based real estate development and investment firm. She is also Senior International Consultant for intercultural initiatives at H.E. Ambassador Dr. Remi Duyile’s Legacy Premier Foundation and Image Consulting Group Inc. Dr. Duyile, a United Nations Ambassador of Peace and recipient of the U.S. Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, is known for her work in global leadership. Wu works alongside her to help drive collaborations focused on sustainable development.
As the old saying goes, “if you want to get something done, ask a busy person to do it.” Cindy is certainly a busy person, and when asked about her new role at AmCham Kaohsiung, Wu said she has no reservations that she’ll be able to deliver results for AmCham KH. Wu said she is eager to get started. “Kaohsiung has so much heart, talent, and opportunity,” she said. “I’m excited to help more people around the world discover what a great place this is, and to connect Kaohsiung to new opportunities.”
AmCham Kaohsiung is tasking Wu with strengthening ties with other foreign chambers, non-profits, and government organizations. She will also advise the chamber’s leadership on promoting international cooperation, cultural exchange, and new business opportunities across southern Taiwan.
“Cindy is a natural connector,” said AmCham Kaohsiung Chairperson Eryk Michael Smith. “She has the energy, passion, and global mindset we need right now as we expand our international reach.”
Wu’s background is as wide-ranging as it gets. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the Eastman School of Music and a master’s degree in Organizational Development and Leadership from National Kaohsiung Normal University. She also earned certificates in Global Diplomacy (University of London), Cross-Cultural Communication (UC Davis), Integrated Marketing (IE Business School), and UN Sustainable Development Goals Impact Management (Duke University).
Currently, Wu serves as Vice President of Global Market Development at Smart Plan Group Holdings and U.S. CEO of the Bai Yu Art Foundation. She also runs her own Cindy Wu Music Studio and works closely with Arizona State University’s Prep Digital program, helping Taiwanese students earn U.S. high school diplomas while studying from home.
On the international stage, Wu recently returned from New York after representing Taiwan at the International Federation of Business and Professional Women (IFBPW) Leaders’ Summit. She also spoke at one of the United Nations’ CSW69 events about empowering women worldwide. Last year, she helped organize a major intercultural forum in Taiwan that brought together leaders from more than ten countries.
